Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local or session storage, do the same job. They can be used to remember something about your visit or to measure how a site is used.
Our current setup
There is no cookie banner or consent choice on this site at the moment. Google Analytics loads when a page loads, without waiting for you to agree. This policy describes that setup.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages, listings and links are used. Analytics may set cookies on your device or use similar browser storage. The cookies it normally uses are:
Names and lifetimes are set by Google and can change. The events we send, and what we do not send, are explained in our privacy policy. Google may also receive your IP address and browser details when the tag loads. See Google's page on how it uses data from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Storage we use ourselves
The site does not set cookies of its own. When you move around it keeps a few details in your browser's session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab: the first page you landed on, the last content page you viewed, the website that sent you here (address only) and any campaign tags in the link. These are added to a form only if you send one, so we can see which page led to the enquiry. They are not sent anywhere otherwise.
Spam protection on the forms
The contact, claim and add-a-listing pages use Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated spam. It loads a script from Cloudflare on those pages only, and may use cookies or similar browser storage to do its job. Those belong to Cloudflare, not to us, and are described in its privacy policy. The form cannot be sent without passing the check, so blocking it means you cannot use those forms.
Links to other websites
Field owners' own websites and booking services open from our listings. They may set their own cookies and have their own policies. We do not control them.
How to block or remove them
- Use your browser's settings to block or delete cookies and site data. The way to do this differs by browser and device.
- Google provides a browser add-on that stops Google Analytics measuring your visits: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Content blockers also stop the analytics tag. The site works the same if analytics is blocked.
Changes
If we add a consent tool or another service that uses cookies, this page will change to match. Questions about cookies can go through the contact page.
