About this field

A 4-acre secure field with 180cm fencing, an air-lock gate system and in-field parking at Torton, near Kidderminster, from £11 for 50 minutes.

Perry Dog Field is a 4-acre secure field at Perry Farm, Torton, near Kidderminster, Hartlebury and Stourport, with views towards the Abberley Hills. The owners describe fencing just shy of 6ft (180cm) with small grid apertures and a further foot buried in the ground, a two-gate air-lock entry, one-car parking inside the field plus extra parking nearby, a shelter and seating, poo bags and bins, and enrichment equipment: two tunnels, tractor tyres, bales, weaving poles, small jumps and a sandpit.

Sessions are 50 minutes for exclusive use, from £11 for one or two dogs and one owner or family (up to five people and one car). There is no running water, though bottled water is kept for emergencies, and toilets are not yet provided. The owners say they do not allow XL Bully types or other banned breeds. The field idea began with an owner of a reactive German Shepherd, and the owners say it suits reactive dogs as well as training and exercise.

Access and practical information

Getting in

Once you have booked you are sent a code for the gates by email and SMS an hour before your slot, or straight after confirmation if you book within the hour. The same code opens both gates and is needed to leave. Never enter when someone else is in the field; if you are early, wait in the parking area. Keep both gates closed at all times. The owners provide a short video guide to finding the field.

Parking

Parking is available at the field.

Opening and sessions

Sessions are 50 minutes, which includes a 10-minute buffer between bookings. The website gives first and last booking times (7am and 6pm) on one page and different opening times on another, so no hours are listed here.
